PT Breakfast Restaurant Server

We are located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and are seeking PT Lead Breakfast Server ($12/hr. + tips - must work weekends) who will perform all key results areas (KRAs) in a way that benefits all key stakeholder groups consistent with and supportive of our company’s Mission and Values; Integrity, Financial Success, Excellence and Responsibility.

This position is at our Hilton Garden Inn-South, a 103 room limited-service hotel located off of I-229 in southern Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This three-diamond hotel offers breakfast and dinner service in the lobby, American Grill, evening drinks in the Pavilion Lounge, and full-service banquets for weddings, business meetings, and other events up to 250 guests.

*Shift hours may vary - typically 5AM-11 or Noon on weekdays and 6AM-Noon on weekends. WEEKENDS REQUIRED.

*Position Wage is tipped also. This position would be 2-5 days per week.

REQUIREMENTS
Position Summary: Currently we are seeking part-time breakfast servers. This position will include weekends and holidays, based on the needs of the hotel. Applicants must have flexible schedule and must be able to anticipate and respond to needs in a busy environment.

The Renovation Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing all hotel renovation and new construction projects within our portfolio. This role is critical in driving our growth strategy by ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires regular travel to project sites to oversee construction, coordinate with on-site teams, and ensure project success. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience, deep knowledge of construction processes, and a proven track record in both general contracting and renovation management. This includes a strong understanding of construction methods, material sourcing, subcontractor coordination, architectural planning, and site management, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of multiple hotel renovation projects, as well as new construction hotel developments.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, designers, internal stakeholders, and brand representatives (e.g., Hilton, Marriott) to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and brand standards.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.

Job Description/Summary: The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for revenue production for the Banquets and Guest Room Revenue associated with Banquet Groups and/or Meetings-Functions. They will meet or exceed planned revenue objectives for Banquets & Catering. The Catering Sales Manages will manage all areas of Group Banquet Sales per Brand standards. The Catering Sales Manager is a “hands-on” manager position, actively involved daily in securing, qualifying and following up on leads to book specific business. The Catering Sales Manager’s central focus is in sales and event coordination.

Catering Sales Manager Responsibilities:

· Handle all Wedding/Meeting-Group inquiries (phone, email, online) in a timely manner for assigned hotel(s)

· Active sales in the local wedding/meeting-group market.

· Follow up to every event that you booked with an email and survey to ensure satisfaction.

· Re-solicit past accounts weekly to generate new business.

· Meet and/or exceed defined Revenue and Solicitation goals.

· Responsible for leads with meeting space needs received through brand channels (Meetingbroker, OneSource)

· Respond to leads with meeting space needs for all assigned hotels via the CVB, HotelPlanner, and WeddingWire and other third-party lead sites

· Utilize Delphi to manage the hotel’s business, included but not limited to generating reports, entering business, blocking space and building accounts.

· Complete and submit required weekly reports in a timely manner.

· Maintain internal wedding calendar to track number of weddings booked each year.

· Attend monthly Sales Revenue Calls and provide updates on new bookings and sales goals.

· Know meeting room sets and capabilities.

· Utilize revenue management tools to determine guest room pricing to maximize overall revenue.

· Coordinate and execute site tours with prospective clients.

· Attend community networking events to promote the KAJ hotels in assigned market

· Coordinate and attend local wedding shows to promote the KAJ hotels in assigned market.

· Optimize and maintain all third-party websites for promoting weddings/meetings and seek out new websites that we can list on.

· Event planning and detailing for all Wedding/meeting booked events; maximize Catering revenues wherever possible through up-selling techniques.

· Work directly with F&B Director on specialty menus or requests that are out of the ordinary from clients.

· Communication of function-arrangement to all responsible hotel departments via weekly BEO meetings at all properties.

· Physically double-check all function arrangements against specifications of client.

· Meet and greet high-profile meeting planners upon arrival. Interact with outside planners and vendors for special events.

· Monitor quality of service in Banquets and work with F&B Department to keep informed of F&B issues as they arise.

· Follow through to completion of function.

· Assist with referring leads to other KAJ hotels when there is no availability at assigned hotel(s) or we cannot meet the client’s budget.

· Join Director of Sales on sales calls to potential meeting and events clients.

· Any other duties directed by the Director of Sales or VP Sales and Revenue Strategy.

 

Catering Sales Manager Expectations:

· Expected to be available when group business demands it; including being present at beginning and/or peak times of events to create a touchpoint and memorable experience at our properties.

· Maintain Prime Selling Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (Tuesday – Thursday).

· Attend daily stand-up meetings to communicate group and meeting pertinent information to staff.

· Ensure all Meetings, Events, and Guest Room Blocks have a signed contract, along with a signed credit card authorization form.

· Ensure prompt response (With-in 4 Hours) to all inquiries and customer requests.

Hours are typically M-F 8-5 but you need to be flexible depending on client demands.
