Benefits FAQ.

Will I be eligible for benefits?

Any full-time employee will be eligible for the KAJ Benefits Package. All employees are eligible for KAJ’s 401K plan after one year of service.

What is a Full-Time Employee?

According to the ACA, a Full-Time employee is any employee that works 30 hours per week or more. Some position’s hours are based on occupancy and will have a one-year look back period to determine eligibility status. 

Will I earn Paid Time Off?

Yes, all employees begin to accrue PTO after their first 90 days of employment. The rate at which you accrue PTO depends on your tenure and position.

Is PTO paid out upon end of employment?

Yes, any earned, but unused PTO will be paid out upon end of employment.

Will I have time to volunteer?

At KAJ Hospitality, one of our Core Values is to “Take Care of People”. Once a quarter, you will have the opportunity to help your hotel participate in a KAJ Cares event that will help support the community or those within your hotel.

Are there any additional earnings?

As an hourly employee, you will be able to earn KAJ Bucks, which is a KAJ reward-based system that bonuses on Guest Service Scores and going above and beyond in your position.  As a manager, you may be eligible for additional bonus programs within KAJ Hospitality.

Are there any additional benefits?

One of the best parts of being a KAJ Employee, is being eligible for your branded hotel’s employee discount program for both you and your Friends and Family. This allows you to get discounted hotel rooms and other travel perks at hotels worldwide!

How often will I get paid?

All KAJ employees that work at our hotels, get paid bi-weekly on Fridays.

How will I stay connected to my co-workers and the hotel?

At KAJ Hospitality, one of our Core Values is to “Include Others”, so we use an App called Beekeeper where you will have access to a company and hotel news streams, the ability to check your schedule, find documents, respond to surveys, communicate with co-workers and so much more!

Will I earn Holiday Pay?

Yes, KAJ Hospitality recognizes that time off for observance of certain holidays is vital to your ability to provide continued good performance and your overall positive attitude towards the workplace. KAJ Hospitality observes the following days as Holidays:
